Joyce will be missed by her conservative friends here in Florida. We enjoyed working on campaigns and discussing politics. She touched so many people with her infectious smile. I'm so glad chose Pompano Beach for retirement, so I could meet her.

So saddened to hear of Ms. Aldrich passing away. She was such a wonderful person and English teacher. I have thought about her over the years. She had so much compassion. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Rest in peace. Christine WHS Class of 1981

Joyce Aldrich taught me why it was important to be genuinely informed, and to truly think for myself. She was a modern-day philosopher in the tradition of Socrates and Dante. I will always treasure the gift of having had the good fortune to learn from her.

Joyce was a wonderfully passionate teacher. She was my teacher in 1993, and I still think of her often. She taught me that "knowledge is power".
